| The upcoming Mythos at the Firehouse exhibit "Beauty Fierce as Stars: Groundbreaking Women Painters of the 1950s and Beyond" will open Friday, May 9 with a reception from 5:30 to 9 pm. The show features women painters coming out of the Abstract Expressionist and Figurative Explosion of the 1950s and those painters who in following years ( and currently) continue these traditions in provocative new ways. Works by Ariel, Lily Fenichel, Mary Fabili, Lyn Brockway, Mary Lovelace O'Neal. Lisa Esherick, Lyn Fischer, Ursula O'Farrell, and others yet to be announced.. |  |
